Expect to be banned if you are clicking your own ads (I hope) unless you are doing it in the supplied preview tool.

And what happened to English and grammar on this forum? Or actually reading the TOS for that matter?

In his limited English mecjfl alluded to adtest mode (he also did in a previous unintelligible post). My guess is that it is OK to click on your own ads if they include the line: google_adtest='on'; within the AdSense javascript code. I guess that clicks and page impressions would be discarded.
ASA, maybe you could confirm this if you are reading this post?

I can't see the option of ad test mode on the page used to created the javascript or in the Adsense help section. Am I missing something?

No, this is something that you are supposed to add manually in the AdSense code if you are having AdSense on a site that you are testing or building and do no want clicks to be counted.
I won't quote the email from Google support about it, it was already deleted once some months ago on this forum.

Recently there was a post in this forum about that..

"You can add the following line of code to the normal Google ad code to allow for testing:

google_adtest='on';

they probably don't want this info published (or they would have put it in their support documents).

There are lots of different levels of adsense publishers and webmasters, they probably don't want them all messing around with the js code (which is against the TOS), so they may only give that response to certain users which they specifically allow to use that added value.

It may not be something that is allow for general use.

I wish there was a way to confirm this. I would love to be able to write up a script something like:

[adsense code starts here]

?php if (user_is_me()) { echo "google_adtest='on'"; }?>

[adsense code ends here]
