Probably reverse alphabetical order, as it was WebWalla who spotted it first.

Ok, showing on mine (UK) but the total is very wrong.
It's 30 percent lower than the month's stats. What's going on?
Also, I take it this Dec 9 payment record is indeed for November, and not a republished version of October's still to arrive cheque? (Still off, but by only 7 per cent).

My theory :
I think, it might be in the order of people who joined adsense first.
I joined on the second or third day.

It is for October's (not November's) earnings. It's much too early in the month for our November check to be mailed.

Thanks Blue_Fin and company. Appreciate the clarification...and that's a relief with it only being a bit off target.
Last question: When it's payment 'sent' as it is, is this actually in the postal system now?

Not if it's like previous months, in which case the checks have actually been mailed several days later (nearly a week) than the date shown. This month could be different than that, though, because in the past, the date sent didn't actually post until several days after the date displayed. This time, the date it appeared in our accounts is the same as the date displayed. So we'll just have to see because this month is just not a typical month.

I've always got it with in a few days from it being updated. once I got the check before it was updated. (I've only got checks from the last three months.)

That's been my experience as well, but the check has never actually been mailed on the date that is indicated it was sent.
If you want a rundown of previous payments, there are topics for each of them here so you can scroll through the posts.

Hey, I'll be happy to ask some folks about this. Last I heard, the payment info was ready, and checks were going to be printed/mailed starting asap (like later today). That's just the informal thing I heard from talking to someone, but I'm happy to look into it more. Would it help if I could get someone with AdSense experience to try to stop by from time to time and try to answer questions and take feedback back to the AdSense team?

Would it help? That's an understatement, GoogleGuy! :)
Many of us have wanted this for months now, but we've had no way to communicate that to you, so whatever you can do will be appreciated by all of us.
When you have confirmation that the checks have been mailed, it would be great if you would let us know. I've commented frequently that the Checks Sent date that appears through our accounts has never been the real date the checks were mailed. It's always been several days after that date.

Thanks, Blue_Fin; I'll ask about getting someone to take on an Advisor-ish role here. I know that there is a compute-all-payments stage that has to finish before the send-checks-out stage can commence (and that the compute-all-payments is done and the send-checks-out stage is starting), but that's about as much as I know; that's another good reason to ask for some assistance from a Googler with more direct AdSense experience. What I can do is go poke people on the shoulder and remind them that promptness is something that publishers care about a lot. No matter what internal biller changes are going on or whatever, it's important for publishers to be able to have peace of mind and know that checks will arrive reliably and without anxiety. I'll go poke a few people about that now, and ask about getting an Advisor going at the same time. :)
