Message Too Old, No Replies

How much have your earnings improved after de-sandboxing?

All work and no PageRank makes Nick a dull boy

For those of you who started off in the sanbox, what sort of jump in earnings (if any) have you seen when you came out? Was it proportional to the rise in traffic?

I really don't know what to expect, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'll let you know once i get out..

i'm starting to get discourged.. only my main page is indexed in Google, and i'm not even in MSN or Yahoo yet..

I'm working on getting links.. and adding content every day.. i guess it's just a waiting game now.. :-(

i'm not even in MSN

Have you submitted? MSN is VERY fast these days...makes Google look lethargic!

Anyone else remember when Google spidered "on demand"?

Oh those were the days:-)

MSN loves links, even reciprocals. Exchange links with CLOSELY related sites only and make sure the page your link appears on has gotten spidered recently. That's all it takes to rank at MSN. I've got several sites ranked on page 1 with less than 50 relevant link exchanges. But in my experience it only works that easily with MSN.

Hmm. My experience with MSN has been different. Most of my pages are showing up on page 1 or 2 of the SERPs with MSN, but nothing at all with Google. I have almost no inbound links as of yet. So from my experience, it seems like MSN prefers content, while G prefers links. In case it matters, my site has been up for about 15 months total, with several new pages added over the past month. Any thoughts?

I am the same as the poster who got good rankings from MSN. One of my sites gets NO referrals at all from G despite being in the index. A link got me into msn as I hadn't applied-thought msn was a "dead duck"

Since no one is answering Nick's question, I will not interrupt the drifting off topic..
Let's see:
sanbox,
Storage Area Network Box ;)
Get out? Hmmm You need a network for that, fiber should do it if you are pearshaped like many webmasters here!

Seriously Nick, when you get of the "box" you will find out soon enough if your work was worthwhile or not, no one can answer your question, it depends too many facors, including the existance of the sandbox itself.
