Is anyone seeing a slowdown on the serving of ads in the last few days? Have noticed some marked delays on some of our sites recently. Seems to happen on first page loads, then improves.

i believe sometimes the iframe comes up, and then there is a 1-2 seconds delay in fetching the ads. because they have to query constantly to make sure advertiser's budgets are not exhausted, this may explain the delay.
any other possible reasons?

I've seen it. My site is blazing fast ;) so it stands out quite a bit. I'ts still sub-second page loads, but I'm used to well under half a second. Gotta love PHP and that gzipped output buffer.
