Has anyone reached a million yet?

Many people were successful with Adsense program, earning $x,#*$!.xx figures month after month. Other publishers - those in UPS Club - earn even higher digits $xx,xxx.xx month after month.

First of all, I congratulate everyone for their success with Adsense program. I also congratulate myself for endless hours that I spent designing my website, experimenting with ad placements, enriching content and user experience, etc.

There are many successful publishers on this forum, many of them earning tens of thousands dollars every month. The question is - are there any millionaires?

He said in his Blog -In September/04 when he started playing with Google Adsense someone told him it would turn into a $1M a year business he would have laughed. But he did that.

Most of the millionaires from Google are likely the Premium publishers like Iwon, NYTimes.

They have tons of traffic and visitors and are getting better payouts and special ad layouts from Google.

I don't think anyone making a million $ or even 1/2 mill off adsense has the time, need, or want to spend on webmasterworld. Pretend that you're the one making a million off adsense. What would you be doing with your time? Tooling around on webmasterworld? Probably not. I know I wouldn't.

my adsense account was unfortunately disabled so im back to corporate banners...Im an international(trinidad) any ideas for a new ppc progrm? OH and my sister also has a site thats she is stating, she uses my office to run her site, can she apply and be accepted for adsense seeing as i have been banned? we have the same last name and all that

I think if anyone was making over a million per year on Adsense, Google would see it on their radar, tweak the algo and then take it all back, sort of like they say about - Umm - oh cant say that here. (*&^% Giver)

You'd be surprised... I know others in that range that also follow forums (rarely post however). While 95% of the stuff here is newbie-oriented, there are some useful threads and smart posters.

I do get custom ad layouts (and some other targeting features) but no better payouts. I didn't apply for them, Google contacted me. I see much smaller sites getting custom ad layouts now.

Missed this post until relicx quoted it... I think there's a very high probability that someone like that would be lurking at the very least. How do you think they got into that position in the first place?

About $2777.77/day
Each click usually is from $0.03 to $2.00. Let's assume averge $0.6 per click(I think this is still high) You need to have have at least 4630 clicks/day
If CTR is 1.5%. You need at least 308667 views on your site each day.
I don't know much sites can have 0.3M traffic everyday other than search engine.

These numbers are really off. I have a site with 0.2 M page views per day. But adsense only counts 1/3 of the page views (don't know why). And I don't make anything close to $2777.77/day.

Real Page Views > Adsense Page Views >Adsense Dance> SE Dance> Gross Profit> Net Profit >Profit after reinvestment > Profit after tax

First: does only AdSense count here? From 2002 - 2003 we grossed 5M US$ (3 people) with online advertising in general, home office only. Pay the huge traffic bills, split it by 3, and pay the #!$ taxes in Germany and you are a poor guy :-)

People grossing >80k a month TODAY with AdSense ALONE as a one man show are probably doing black hat. Managing 100s of domains as 1 person is a tough job, no matter how technique savy you are.

I quit my job delivering pizza in 2000 when I earned my first $10,000 online. I got that check for Linkshare.com. I have earned over 2 million with Commmiision Junction and about 3 million with other stuff... I did most of this as a 1 man show and things fell apart after I had to get employeees, servers, and contrtact cause my business got too big. I retired to Jamaica 2 years ago and started over from scratch and I am slowly workitg my way up the $$ tree again as 1 man show.

Interestingly enough Google is now my #1 income generator and I was thinking tonight that I can see it making me 1 million dollars, so I searched Google and found this post. I think if Google allows it to happen a 1 man show can definaltely make 1 million with Google as long as the web site is 100% automated and you only have to add more traffic. I think I could earn 1 million over the next 18 months.

I know my friend from <snip> was earning about $20,000 a month with Google Adsense... but then he got cancelled and quit. I think maybe it was his fault he got cancelled, but he was earing that $$ as a 1 man show... and thats good to know

I'd love to make a serious amount of cash out of adsense. I make a bit but can't seem to get past a certain threshold. I've tried a few different ideas with some success but still no holy grail.

I'm sure those making loads of dosh have got a load of sites displaying the ads.

How about being the first one to make it onto the Forbes list of richest people and in the interview the multi-millionaire/billionaire says "and I owe it all to google adsense but more importantly I owe it all to webmasterworld, for without webmasterworld I would be nowhere. Now, if you do make it onto Forbes list of richest people due to your riches from adsense and you still spend time tooling around on webmasterworld then you probably need to take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourself what's up? Why do so many have preconceived notions of how and what people should spend their money on? I know a lot of very wealthy people and I don't believe one of them has ever done it for the money per se.

Realistically I can afford to buy and do whatever I like however I enjoy what I do...really, I do enjoy it, I find it a challenge, it spurs me on.

It's not being geeky or boring, boring to me is laying on the beach for two or three weeks in the sun! Now that I just do not know how people can do it.

If I make some serious bucks, I'm going to buy a jet and on one side paint the adsense logo and on the other side webmasterworld in bold italics. I don't think any of my guests riding for free on a private jet would have a problem with that. Hope that wouldn't be some kind of copyright infringement.
