How long does it take for "filtered sites" to kick in?

And should I use the "www" prefix or not?

I added some sites to the "filtered sites" list. I checked a few minutes later, and the sites I wanted to fitler were still showing up.

How long does it usually take for site filtering to begin, once the "filtered site" list is edited?

Also, should I include the "www." prefix?

Add both versions - with and without www as they're classed as different servers. Did you click on save changes once you had added the filters?

It can take up to a few hours. And yes, pay attention to whether it uses www or not, because they are considered two different domains. I believe if you leave it off, it will cover both the www and the non-www versions of the domain name.
