Everyone has the right to their opinion, even if many do see fit to speak negatively about Google. It seems on this and other forums there is never a shortage of threads about negative Google experiences.

As I have benefited tremendously from Google, I feel it incumbent on me to give something back in return and talk about my positive experience. I am not saying that I havent suffered setbacks or agree with everything about what google does, especially when regarding the topic of MFAs advertising in adwords.

However for the sake of any newbies looking at this forum and maybe considering joining the adsense publishing network, I would just like to say that not everybody's experiences about Google are negative. Mine on the whole have been nothing short of rewarding. Google is not sinister. It is there to profit and for you as a publisher to make the most of it and profit also. If you are lucky as I have been it will change your life too.

Google may barely know that I exist, however it has helped me and I would recommend Adsense to any newbie browsing through and considering their options.

I love them, I hate them.
Praise them, curse them.
G is holy, G is evil, etcetera.
At the end of the month, it's the $$$ that count!
For that matter, way to go Google!

Yep way to google, Google Confidence!

Google Confidence, you instill confidence in thousands of small young publishers to make a living either in america/asia/africa/australia/europe or any where in the world.

Google the only true global search engine.

Thank you Google!

Ps:
YPN is only for US publishers.
Msn Adcenter not started yet.

How quaint!

Just like saying McDonald's enable impoverished single-parents to provide a nutritious hot meal to their children. Thank heaven's for McDonalds! Thank heavens for Google! Thank heavens for the workhouses and debtors prisons!

Life is hard if you live in a very expensive city like Hong Kong, my salary from my current job barely pays all the bills. Thanks God google came! Now, all my debts had been wiped out and am able to put extra savings in the bank every month.

Thanks Google!

Indeed. I've had an excellent experience with adsense too. Google might be a massive company today rather than the little server farm they started out on, but their employees still know how to provide the user with an trustworthy and reliable experience.

Hi,

The Big G has been very good to me on the whole. I find them even-handed and, albeit a bit slow, very helpful.

And G is providing an additional (small) income stream which will help tide me over when my current contract ends next month.

I know that knocking G is easy and fun (for some), but (1) you DO NOT have to use them AT ALL and (2) if you hate them then go and constructively do something better yourself in any of their areas of business or a new one, which is one of the great motivators of the whole open source movement BTW.

Rgds

All my experiences with Google so far have been positive. They have even responded to and acted on my reports of Adsense TOS violations.

I recently bumped into one of hate Google websites and all they seemed to say was a mix of "I think they are arrogant" - "They seem like a bunch of missionaries with their own cult". Somehow I've seen that most people who say they hate google have many skeletons in their cupboard - and many are just plain jealous or intimidated.

Whatever they say - or whoever says - those who have done business with Google know that they are professional and they have very highly qualified staff. That is all I care about - a partner who is honest with business dealings.

Come to think of it - I don't think many companies can match their level of professionalism and vision.

I make a decent income even without Google but I love doing business with them. Two thumbs up to GOOGLE!

Well no, not really.

Because Google does inspire confidence in thousands of publishers, even if it doesn't guarantee success.

Whereas a Big Mac meal is more often than not... [considers legal implications]... lukewarm rather than hot.

I don't hate Google but please pass me the bucket as i may vomit ;) ( joke)

Of course many of us have done very well with our "relationship" with Google, no doubt about it but reading some of the comments in here, you would think Google was a charity/father figure.

They are a corporate business, they have shareholders, not necessarily evil but do you think they give a damn about any of us except in terms of making a profit from using our web space?

Let's get real people please, this is business...if you have done well out of Google then they have done three times as well out of you.

My overall experience with Google has been great.

Over the last 6 years they have turned my then failing business into such a success today that I don't have any time for myself :-(

The AS income is just the icing on the cake.

Thanks also to GG, AWA & ASA for their contributions. At least one of you took the time a few years ago to assist in a problem during one of the updates that put everything back on track for me. I'll never forget that.

My experience with Over / Yahoo has not been all that positive and the general feeling that comes from them is not one that I would place my trust in. I can't say that about Google.

Of course they are a business and no they don't need to give a damn about us in the way you mean it - as long as they keep their business straight I am more than happy. Who's asking them to be a father figure? That's just funny! :-D

Not according to the payout figures in their quarterly earnings reports.

"corporate business, they have shareholders, not necessarily evil but do you think they give a damn about any of us except in terms of making a profit from using our web space?"

They better give a damn if they want us to allow them to profit on our web space. In other words, if google wants to win, publishers and advertisers have to win. Plain and simple.

We have been with adsense since it went live and all I have to say is thanks to Google for six figures!
