Adsense and iFrames?

Is it legal?

hi

Just wondering if it's possible to have a website with say the max of 3 adsense ads on it... but then have an iFrame within that page which also had another 3 adsense ads within it.

Is it possible/legal?

If not, is there any other way to perhaps do this legally?

... Maybe is it possible to keep 2 ads in the iframe and force the main page to only show 1 google ad (to make up the 3 on a page)?

cheers

I use it and have seen it often. My page has calculators that refresh each time the user presses "Calculate." The calculators are on the iFrame and the ads are on the static page. If the ads and the calcs were on the same page then it would be a new impression every time someone did a calculation and my impressions would be artifically inflated by a huge amount.

So it's legal to technically have 6 separate google adsense ads on the one page (3 on static page, 3 in iframe)?

I believe the rule is 3 adblocks impressed per pageview.

Sounds to me like a new and innovative way to get yourself booted out of AdSense.

There are no loopholes. Looking for them will make you unhappy.

hmm, yeah I just got this reply:

Hello Nathan,

Thank you for contacting Google AdSense with your question. Currently,
AdSense publishers may place on one static web page up to three regular ad
units and one link unit. This includes any ad units that appear within
iframes on the page. Having three ad units in an iframe and three ad units
elsewhere on the page would exceed the limit and is not allowed. We
appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

Mark
The Google AdSense Team

So perhaps not :)

Ok the next question then is, can I run a script so that within the iframe there are one or two adsense ads... however then only a certain number of adsense ads on the static page are allowed.

e.g. 1 ad in iframe > therefore: 2 max ads allowed in static

etc

cheers

...errr...yes, it is legal - just as MFAs and scrapers are legal... but it is a breach of the terms and conditions

you are allowed to put max 3 adsense ad blocks on your page, be it in iframes or not.

you are not allowed to have adsense displayed with ypn (or any other contextual ads) on the same page at the same time.

i urge you to read the adsense guidelines, as this kind of questions is needless.
