That must be a handsome sum specially in India, are you saving and re-investing in your site yet? From what I hear you could live like a king with under $1k down there, I would save or pay real estate installments from $3k and reinvest $1k in new sites, same site, or even the stock market.
Then go party with the remaining $200!

It's really an excellent achievement and yeah you can DEFINITELY live like a king with that kind of money - but I am sure you have major business expenses too.

That brings me to the tax question. I have been trying to find out about some of the tax issues - [webmasterworld.com...] - Would you mind sharing how you handle your taxes. Would be great if you can share some tips.

I am sorry you have very screwed up knowledge of Indian economy.

Congratulations, Gulugulu. I also broke $5000 for the first time this month. I came very close(within about $20 one of the months) in sept, oct, and dec, but couldn't quite get over the hurdle. January 2005 I only made about $1000 so my sites have come a long way in a year. I hired some help a few months back and we've been adding new content like crazy. Unlike the spuratic earnings that many post about, I have seen a steady increase, with a few minor dips and seemingly permanent plateaus here and there, since I started with Adsense.

How old is your site?

Started my site in 2000 When there was no Adsense. Joined it early with around $15 day average.

With some good optimization method suggested by Adsense team, the revenue increased since mid of 2004.

Just bought a HP TC1100 tablet PC and a Compaq V4122 laptop last year.

Rest are savings. I pay income tax as I am also running a company and wrote about this earlier in this forum.

A bit less than 1mn PV/mo. I am in a very niche market from the beginning, as I also run a physical company in the same market, and I have employees working in my company.

The website is completely conceived, designed and maintained by me.

Adsense reported around $5260 (not exactly) in this january.

Congrats Gulugulu on your double income... I am sure if you increase traffic, ur income will surge compared to many others which works the opposite... Thats the beauty of a very narrow niche!
