How Many AdSense Units Allowed Per Page?

I read the TOS but still dont understand

I read TOS and i dont understand how many ad units i can put per page.

Lets say i have 1 link unit. How many ad units can i have on page. I understood that i may put 2 ad units + 1 link unit. Is there any space left for search? i guess no?

You are allowed to place 3 ad units per page (banner, square, skyscaper etc). You are allowed 1 link unit per page. You are allowed 2 search boxes per page. That's a lot!

Do you mean put this on your webpage? Don't do that. Don't mention the ads in any way.

I am really interested in object i am writing about on my home page and sometimes i would really like to click on ad. Is there any chance to look at that ad. I try and search on google but ad is not showing! How can i reach that homepage?

An Ad Unit is a box which display Ads, so search and links are not considered Ad Units, because they require some action before becoming Ads (no body will be charged money if you click a link unit only or if you type a keyword for a search box, only when you click and Ad on the resultant page it will be charged).

You are allowed 3 Ad Units + 1 Ad Link + 2 Search boxes = 6 Ad 'AdSense Elements' if you want to name them, per page.

peewhy: I think you're confusing link units with ad units. Link units are the links to another page which displays the actual ads. Only one link unit per page is allowed. References to ad units in this thread mean the actual ads themselves: ie: banner, square, rectangle, skyscaper etc.

Let me describe a page; it has two leader boards and one skyscraper.

It has a navigational column with internal links and a couple of links to othe sites.

I thought the adsense leaderboards and skyscrapers were ad units?

Look at the sample ad layouts when you log into your adsense account and you will see what the difference is.

On each page of your site, you can place:

3 ad units
1 link unit ([google.com ] has visual examples of both features so that you can tell the difference)
2 AdSense for search bars
1 referral button per product (e.g., 1 AdSense referral button + 1 Firefox referral button)

Although you can use all of these on the same page, less is sometimes more. You should use custom channels ([google.com ]) to test which combination produces the best results for your particular site.
