My opinion on the expanded ads flips between like and dislike. I don't like the clonky format of the ads, but they do seem to improve the bottom line $$. However, I personally think that seeing the same two ads all the time is a bit tedious, and can't help wondering if a bit of rotation between advertisers and flipping the format between expanded and non-expanded as the visitor moves between pages would be a better proposition.
