It seems to me that the traffics generated by SE are not well targetted.
The traffic is targeted based on the search query the searcher uses and whatever is on your pages.
It might be that you have designed the page to address a specific topic, but the because of the content on your pages, the search engine thinks your page addresses the searchers needs, even though it actually doesn't.
That can happen when searchers use to broad of a search query, ie: widgets vs blue widgets or shiny blue widgets.
Nothing you can do about that, but it can affect you if you get a lot of visitors who use those those types of search queries.
Since it's unlikely that we can teach searchers to use more specific searches, the answer is to adapt to the situation and build pages that give them what they want.
This can be a good opportunity if you are willing to accomodate the searchers.
This close relevancy increases CTR as the ads are very closely relevant to the query which brought them to the site in the first place.
This is why good site hierarchy works well with adsense and SE's in general
In my case, over 85% are repeated traffics, only about 12% from SE and about 3% directed from other sites. My AS earnings seems not quite depending on the SE traffics.
On the other hand, I got many dynamic pages, that may be a reason the SE traffics did not work out quite well.
Check Your referer log files.
If Your host does not provide referer log files, change the hosting. ]
I am interested to learn if it is possible to check the referer information when the user lands on a webpage, probably there is some header or field to be checked by some codes on the landing page?
All the referer info is stored in the log files at a good host.
A good host compresses also each month all the log files of the previouse month for easy download.
There is bad statistic software, showing the top 100 search queries or such nonsens.
But much more interesting, because much more are the search queries 101 to 100.000
What I am interested in is to check the referer information at real time, not from a log.
That is when the user was directed to a landing page in my web site, how could I determine the referer for this specific user traffic?
Looking carefully at my stats it appeared that about half of my traffic was from Google but my AdSense earnings dropped more than half.
From that I'm guessing surfers who come in through a search engine are more likely to click on an ad compared to repeat visitors.
As my site doesn't really depend on the SE traffics, nor I don't care about the search positions. Though my site is always on the top 5 on G, Y and M for the specific keywords, that doesn't help on conversion nor enlarge user basis.
I am planning to block ALL SE robots except the Google media robot for Adsense.
I would make this a bit clear.
What I would like to achieve is the landing page (probably a script) is smart enough to identify the referer information, and base on this information, it generates a predefined contents to feed this specific user traffic brought from this particular referer.

A bit more clear?!?
Now I am complete confused.
The search engine sends the visitor to exactly the page which is best suited for his query.
So there is nothing to change with this page
So there has to be nothing to change on this page
There is a page waiting for people asking for
people resarching "small yellow garden widgets".
All the page is about the theme.
Somebody asks a search engine about
"small yellow garden widgets" and comes to the page.
Now exlain me what should be changed?
OK, just got on the HTTP header definition about the referer field. I am going to write my script to test it out
I would study first the TOS and all about cloaking.
What I read out of Your post, it could be something to show a surfer something else than the spider of the search engine.
With much content, it's so easy to play the search engine game honest. So why to trick around?
