Start here:

It may simply be that you lost some inbound links, or sites linking to you lost some.

Rule #1 in this situation : don't panic. Also, bear in mind the toolbar PR is not "fresh" data - the value you see is probably 3-4 months old, so there is unlikely to be a correlation.

So does pagerank have a impact on adsense earnings?

Not directly.

PageRank might affect a site's rankings in Google SERPs, which would affect the overall number of site visitors, which would affect the number Adsense views, which would affect the number of Adsense clicks...

if you want good advice tailored to your problem, you'll have to at least attempt to troubleshoot the problem... did your traffic suddenly drop, have you been swamped with the junk adsense ads that we have been seeing lately, is your web server going down too much, etc.

your post is worthless without specific info.

well it looked as if yesterday was going to be terrible but it turned out to be very average...However today is down 50-60% more then the beginning of yesterday....
Is there anything strange going on. I have not made any changes and as far as I can tell I am showing in the same places for major keywords...

Well, have you done any of the things danimal suggested? Is your overall site traffic still the same? Is your server up? (My host had a some problems a few weeks ago and it hit my earnings a bit, but at least I knew the cause.) There are quite a few things you have to nail down before you go into panic mode.

If there were anything strange going on that affected a large group of folks it would probably be talked about here at WebmasterWorld. I don't see much different other than the usual chatter.

Is it possible that you are just checking your stats too early during the day? They don't update in real time, they don't update at the same time each day, they sometimes get stuck, there's no rhyme or reason.
