Delaying Payment 3-4 months

I'm upset because Google is managing to delay my payment 3-4 months. I didn't get my October check at the end of November, so I complained and they said to wait until Dec. 25th.

I waited, and then told them I still hadn't got it. Now they cancelled the check but are looking like they missed the 15th of the month deadline for issuing the new payment, so they won't put my check out until late February.

Fortunately I switched to electronic funds transfer, so i'm gaining a bit of time. But still I won't get my October money until Feb 22/23 2005. For money earned on Oct 1, that's a 4 month and 3 week delay!

In general, I think making people wait 3-7 weeks (7 weeks for the first day of the month) to get paid is pretty bad for a company that wants to be "nice", or to look "smart", and uses computer technology.

They ought to be able to issue payments every two weeks, and cut the delay down to one week.

I didn't get my Oct check as well. It was for my 2nd biggest check. Wrote to them on the 25th of Dec, fortunately, it was cancelled on the 13th of this month and they will include it in my Dec. earnings. I am now paying $24 to have my check mailed via secured mail so that I can at least track it.

You did the right thing by going with EFT. There are just too many "things" that can go wrong with paper and the postal service.

Just hang in there. The money will come.

As far as waiting for the paycheck--I too hope one day they will shorten the time period we have to wait. But I'm assuming they have to wait til all income from adwords campains come in and the time it takes to audit the accounts. So I can understand waiting--just wish I didn't have to.
