Additional adsense custom channels?

Is there a way to get more channels?

Hello,

I am part of a network of sites and we use three channels per site to track adsense activity. We're down to 10 available channels.

The reporting is a key part of understanding the flow of our adsense earnings, so I'd like to avoid combining the channels if possible.

Does Google increase the channel count if you request it?

Thanks.

Does anyone have any ideas? We're down to 4 open channels, and each new site takes three.

I've emailed Google Adsense support, but haven't heard anything from them on this.

If you cannot get more channels what are the ramifications of consolidating? Do you lose that channel in your historical reporting?

Thanks!

You can have any number of inactive channels. And you should still be able to access old data for channels that you have deactivated.

It seems to me that Google really needs to add the ability to have more channels. 200, just isn't enough.

Thanks, Hunder.

When I make the channel inactive will it free up another to use?

What if I delete the channel? Will that affect historical reporting?

Thanks!

Check the documentation on channels at AdSense, but I think that's what you should NOT do. If you delete the channel, you won't be able to pull up old records of that channel. If it's inactive, you can still see the old records.

Of course, when you reach the point where you have hudreds of inactive channels, then you may want to start pruning the ones you no longer need to look back at.
