Advertise On This Site - any success?

Has having the "Advertise On This Site" been a positive for anyone? Any stories about the pros of this?

Is there any way I would know someone has clicked on it and advertised on my site? If you don't get feedback, how would I know if it was successful?

I'm seeing a lot more CPM targetted campaigns on my site since the inclusion of the link, dunno if that is coincidence, but one would assume so.
The fact that google are showing these CPM ads above PPC ads would suggest they are working well aswell.

We definitely have new niche and trade associated advertisers on our sites and our CTRs, eCPMs and EPCs have all gone up.

Can I attribute that to "Advertise on this site"?

No idea since Google won't tell us however I have an inkling it may be!

Ossifer - I was thinking that if you had not opted out, and saw an increase in earnings, you could connect the two.

how do you tell which campaigns are CPM targetted and which aren't?

I'm not too sure about that... my CPC went off the roof but my CTR dropped by 1.5%. This could be the influx of graphics ads.

My earnings have been going up lately (although this weekend seems to be an exception). I cannot attribute it to the 'advertise on this site' option though, as I don't have enough evidence to determine it.

Unless an advertiser tells me that they signed up BECAUSE they saw that link (and for what it's worth, none has so far) or Google changes their policy to start sharing that info, I don't know how you'd be able to conclude the "success" or failure of that link.
