Slow Load Times

Due to AdSense?

My site is designed for speed. No graphics. Most pages under 10K.

Lately they are loading slowly (a few seconds not instantly) even on fast XP.

AdSense is delayed in appearance on the pages.

Any common experience of same -- info or thoughts? Fixes?

I'm using the column.

Page loading will be slower if you have put the Google ad in a table cell.

In <TABLE><TR><TD>Your content</TD><TD>The Google ad</TD></TR></TABLE>, your browser needs to wait until Google serves the ad in order to know how wide it is - and, therefore, your page loading will be slower.

The workaround is to use styles to enable the same thing - you may wish to look into either the "float" or "absolute positioning" style.

Although I think a table *within* a table should be OK.

Just specify the width of your table columns ...
