Since I started to weed out unwanted ads, my EPC has improved considerably.

Now I came across one company in the UK that has hundreds of domains registered that all go basically to the same stupid (non-) service that does not help my users at all. They are just trying to acquire cheap traffic from AdWords and re-sell it at a higher price, i.e. they add no value to the user experience! I guess they are operating under the same AdWords account. Whenever I see one, I block it.

It would be a fantastic feature if we as publishers not only could block advertisers on a per-domain level, but also based on their AdWords account, e.g. by activating a checkbox next to the domain saying "block all adverts from this advertiser".

Other options that come to mind:
- block ads based on keywords (e.g. eBay)
- block ads that have a different target domain than mentioned in the ad URL

How about that, ASA?

I agree, since I have been cleaning out this spammy sites I have seen an improvement. I like your suggestions but I only wish that google would allow more urls to go on the competitive filter list if nothing else.

BTW many of those sites are just general directories with every sponsered link programme under the sun. I followed a few using the preview tool and what I found only strengthened my resolve to eliminate them from appearing on my site. These spam sites offer nothing in the way ov value to the visitor and the visitor would be more than just a little bit p!$$#d off upon landing on their site from yours.

Not only would these spammers be bottom feeding for cheaper clicks and lowering your epc, but these guys could harm the potentional for any repeat visitors to your site from using the ad block again, not to mention that they could deter visitors from revisiting your site at all.
