I’ve read numerous times on this board that sometimes having less units (instead of the max 3 units per page) may result in higher CTR.

Does that apply to how big/large each unit is too?

For example, say you have three large skyscrapers on one page, in comparison to three 125x125 small ads on one page. Would this make a difference in CTR?

Obviously the skyscrapers would show more ads, 5 each = 15 altogether to be precise, while it still counts as 3 units.

While the 125x125 shows 1 each = 3 altogether, while it still counts as 3 units.

Thanks very much. I hope I’m making sense.

I think what you read is that having fewer units can increase EPC, because only higher-value ads will be showing.

The best thing to do, regardless of whether you are going for a better EPC or a better CTR, is to experiment. Every site is different. What worked on someone else's site may not work on yours, and what didn't work on someone else's site may work on yours....
