Hello guys,

I guess you all have seen many ads about E-books or other related products of Adsense on the Intetnet. The selling point of these products is mainly that they can teach you how to make a lot of easy money (sometimes incredible) by using Adsense. Have you guys ever brought these products or E-books before? And if yes, are you now a millionaire? What are your comments on these products?

Also, the main strategy claimed by these products is to target high paying keywords and how to prompt your visitors to click the adsense ads. First of all, I doubt whether publisers can target exactly what kind of ads they want in their site. And second, I found that the tactic to make visitors click more is very seriously abused by many sites, when these tactic become norm and visitors become more used to those ads format, will they continuously click more?

You're right to be skeptical. Those are good points.

Some people can do this and succeed. However AdSense has been around for quite a while now, as has this particular business model, so the inefficiencies in the market are probably getting pretty hard to find.

Also you're taking a significant risk if you push the envelope in terms of maximizing the CTR, especially if you're buying traffic. If you get kicked out of the program you can easily be hit for more than a month's earnings.

My personal opinion is that it's possible, but there's a lot of report watching required, a long learning curve, and a possibility that the business opportunity could simply evaporate over time. If you're going to spend that much time on a web project, why not do something useful with your life instead of being what amounts to a parasite?

For luck, as I started autumn 1996 with the internet, I was to poor to afford books.

I discovered a very good forum where professional webmasters discussed. So I started to become a professional SEO.

Later, clients asked me about German books about internet and web design and pleased me to evaluate books, they have.

I found all this books terrible wrong. Famouse publishing houses, but only nonsens about promotion.

So when You learn more in a good forum, than from books published by well known publishing houses, what do You expect from e-books from some complete unknown authors?

According what You posted "targeting high earning keywords" and so, it seems like the instruction to make everything as false as possible.

When You want quick money, wait on the next email of the Nigerian oil minister asking You to help to bring $50.000.000 abroad. Emails like this are more trustworthy than this e-books about AdSense.

If you were to read these forums and take lots of notes, and then purchase some of those AdSense e-Books, you'll find you just purchased what is covered by the notes you took.

honkam, I have learned an enormous amount on this forum since I joined AdSense in Oct. 2003.

If your description of the kinds of things they teach you about is accurate, then don't waste your money.

You will do much better by visiting here regularly and experimenting.

Hi honkam. I have seen some of these so called 'books' and they are not worth the money. They contain few pages with little content spread out. All of the information contained in them can be easily gleamed from this forum at no charge. Start at the begining and work your way through the forum. Get a notepad and everytime you discover a little gem, write it in the notebook. By the time you have finished reading the forum your notepad will be packed with gems on how to use adsense succesfully. You now have your own adsense book that is many times more useful, has cost nothing and can be refered to time and time again.

eBooks was supposed to be the next big thing in the evolution of publishing, unfortunately the very thing that makes the Internet a powerful medium as a decentralized free (power to the people) medium, was the downfall of eBooks publishing due to lack of authority, scrutiny and trust, its kind of sad that proponents of the new media are the very ones warning against it, this is not to say that all eBooks are scams, only too many MLM's in the wild and no self correcting counter movement.
