I came home after vacation on Sunday and already had my new ISP avaiable. Pretty stable and fast internet access and quite cheap too so all good I thought. After going to my site I noticed that almost all ads were Dutch! (I'm from Portugal) So I went to other sites with adsense and all of them show Dutch ads... I thought I'd check my IP which I did with several tools around the net and all of them stated my location was Portugal.

What may be happening here? I've already emailed adsense about this. What really concerns me is that other people using this ISP will also see untargetted ads which they obviously won't click.

Yeah looks like some screw up in G's geotargeting, maybe that IP block previously belonged to another ISP is another country and their database just needs updating, but it looks like you figured it all out already .. just use the AdSense preview tool and see what language ads appear to visitors from different countries to eliminate the faint possibility that the problem is specific to your site.
