0.30 earnings?

I joined Adsense about 10 days ago and started earning money right away. I then went on vacation for a week and came back with great surprise that I had earned a mere $0.30!
For that week I averaged 7.5k impressions/day but only 1 click through (the day I made $0.30). I thought this program was based on both impressions and click through rate. Whats going on here?

The only part of adsense based on impressions is site targetted ads.

If no one wants to specifically target your site you will no see any impression based income.

How do I get advertisers to target my site?

I mean.. I get a decent amount of hits. There has to be a way to make more than pennies a week.

If you have a popular, targeted quality site then they will find you.

In the mean time, forget CPM, and concentrate on CTR and CPC.
