What is a good eCPM? $5? $10? $50?

I've had ranges anywhere from $2 on one channel to $500 on others, depending on the day.

What is a good eCPM?

Whatever brings you more money at the end of the day is best. It is also hard to tell when the exact same traffic and clicks brings different eCPM. This number is different for every body.

eCPM consists of two things. How high your CTR is and how much your clicks get you. If you just stick Adsense on an existing site about some random subject you have no control over your click value. Nobody has complete control over your click value. If you have a site that is made for Adsense you can choose a subject that pays better. The best way to get a higher CTR is to have a site that gives information that draws people to the ads or have a site that ranks for a term but provides absolutely no value. If you have a made for Adsense site that relies on organic search traffic your goal is to get the visitors that did not see the ads on Google and send them to the adwords advertisers. Why Google does not see the value in this is beyond me. A generated or scraped Adsense site only ranks for terms that even Google returns trash for. Take out all these types of sites and lots of terms typed in Google would have completely off topic sites listed or sometimes no results whatsoever. So what they are doing is getting rid of sites that are helping them.

With at least 5,000 pageviews, anything beyond $10.00 is really good.
eCPM numbers are only valid in high pageviews channels.

$10 is really bad if your sole goal is to make money with adsense. That may be good for a legit site that is actualy trying to do something besides just make money with adsense. $25 to $50 is good for a made for adsense site. A year and a half ago $75 was good but much harder to get with smart pricing.
