My host has been banned by Google Adsense

Will this effect me in anyway?

Should I switch hosting?

I’m nervous that it won't be long before my domain/site is banned and black-listed by google due to my hosts reputation.

Any suggestions/advice?

Your hosting company displays AdSense ads on their web site?
I'd say move out anyway even if they were not banned!

If it will not cause too much of a disruption I would say move to a more established and reliable hosting company.

Be sure to set up the new account and that the DNS change is fully propagated BEFORE cancelling your old account. Probably best to leave the old site up for at least 3 weeks to be sure all the bots are now at the new address.

This will help any search engine problems from occurring.

With all the hosting deals now available from large companies there is no need to deal with problem ones.

Ok, I can not transfer hosting so swiftly at this moment of personaly busy matters and it will take a long while, quote a long while actually.

So just to be on the safe side. I’m I allowed to cancel my adsense account for now, then re-apply again, in the future after I've made the transfer?

Does google have the policy where it allows you to cancel your account, then re-apply later if you wanted to?

Thanks

I think you would be safe in removing the AdSense code from the pages until you have moved your account. This is assuming it's your host that has been banned and not you.

Good Luck

Another suggestion would be to write AdSense support and explain everything.

That is assuming that you do not have a connection with this hosting comapny and that you are not guilty of doing anything against the TOS yourself.

If you are clean then I see no reason why you should have to remove your AdSense code because of something your hosting comapny did.

Thanks for the suggestions.

But no one has answered the question whether or not google permits users to cancel accounts only to reply later in the future?

Anyone know whats google's policy on this matter?

Just write them and ask.

I can't remember this topic ever coming up before.

Don't close your account. That won't help.

Normally I'd say there is little chance that it will affect you, except for this: how do you know your host got banned? It seems unlikely that a larger hosting company would reveal that information to its clients. OTOH, if you have a personal relationship with your host, then there's some chance that Google will see this and tie your accounts together.
