Cannot create an Adsense account with a Gmail address?!

Hi!

Here's my story :

I created an Adwords account one week ago, everything is fine. But now i cannot create an Adsense account with that same gmail address!

Here is what answers me the Google helpdesk :
"unfortunately, you will not be able to use this email address for your AdSense account at this time because it is already in use as the login for your Google AdWords account. Please feel free to fill out the application using another email address.

I apologize that we aren't able to update your AdSense account to a Google Account or a Gmail address at this time. We do hope to extend this option to AdSense publishers in the future and will be sure to let you know when it becomes available. We appreciate your patience.

A few time ago they madeit compulsory to merge all the Google services under one Login :-/ , can't say what happened now.

My AdWords & AdSense are the same Gmail log-in although I've had this Gmail account since the very beginning.
