Does anyone think google might send us some light pens and other branded stuff this xmas. Would be a nice gesture I think.

Last year a few people had large Google beach towels in the way of a christmas present.

I heard that the IPO may hold back the value of this years gift.

Ho Ho Ho

It's a free, quick peek at the algo.

I think the difference is that Adwords advertisers (who traditionally get the goodies) are PAYING Google, while Google is paying us. We should probably be the ones sending THEM something ;)

However, if Google decides to be generous even with the ones they pay, I am putting my request for a Google notebook bag, or a set of those oh-so-cool "make it a double latte" mugs ;)

We are making Google money though.

That is to say, if we didn't allow Google to syndicate AdWords on our respective websites they wouldn't be able to take a cut of the PPC earnings generated by clicks from our site visitors.

However much each of us make every month from AdSense, Google receives a sum equivalent to a [non-disclosable] percentage of that amount.

I'll be satisfied with the usual monthly check. :-)

I got a really funky hand made wooden whistle from CJ.com :) that was sweet. They know how to please their publishers ;)

Google seem a little withdrawn from their publishers from what I have seen so far, but there again, I have heard that they have excellenct customer services... Don't expect anything as I am only starting out :p

I'm happy when the check arrives too. :)

However, if Google ever feels like they need to keep me even happier, I want a mousepad with a holiday logo on it... I prefer the really cool 2003 Halloween one!

Seriously, though, I believe they could sell enough of those to pay for the artwork and overhead -- and get free advertising out of the deal.

A google hat for me. Also if google sends it cheque by an International courier as our country's postal dept is not trustworthy.
