Do North Americans click more?

Looking at my site traffic and Adsense clicks through an average day my eCPM is very high during US business hours, yet once North America goes to bed the # of clicks and eCPM start dropping considerably.

While the US is awake the eCPM can be as much as 60-70% higher than what finishes off as the average eCPM for the day.

Even once I take into account traffic fluciations through the day, North Americans remain disproportionately high clickers.

My site is in English, SE Asia focussed and the advertisements I'm running through Adsense are certainly not focussed on North America (its a travel website, so most adverts are for hotel consolidators, tour companies etc)

I would have expected to see similar numbers of clicks throughout the day, with perhaps a dip through South Asia and the Middle East, as Ozzies, Euros and Brits and North Americans are all keen travellers -- but that is not what I'm seeing.

Do others see similar behaviour?

I'd say the same pattern. I'd go so far as saying that when America is at it's desk I do best. Mon - Fri are my best days, and any public holidy in the US I always see a dip in traffic / earnings.

My site is UK based, but as I know most of my visitors are from the US, I'm careful to cater for that. I try to write my articles including stats and data from all over the place.

I'd have to agree. Most of my traffic seems to peak on Monday & Tuesday, when people are at their desks and just can't seem to get in gear yet. As our site is e-commerce, a majority of our orders are placed from work emails so I would wager a lot of people are just not working when they should (lucky for us) :-)

I agree.
I attribute it to the high gullability factor of the average American web browser.

I agree to the point.
