CTR the same 3 months running

How scary is that?

Just looked at my stats now the month is over, and noticed the last three months CTR exactly the same! Looked through to see if I'd made a mistake on my spreadsheet, looked at the adsense site for the stats - no mistake.

Wonder what that's telling me?

Err, David, sorry for the dumb question, but why should CTR have gone up? Did you make a lot of changes in ad placement or colours or content?

On my sites, traffic goes up (and down), but the overall CTR -on a monthly base- remains unaffected with surprisingly little "swings"...

My CTR was June 2004 to begining February 2005 the same.

Only in the February 2005 discussion here about decreasing income, I started to optimize.

Tell me about it. I have 3 new sites up since last June so they aren't very mature yet. I already get decent traffic on one of them but all 3 are same design, different content... All 3 have avg ctr of over 20%. I can't wait for them to naturally mature to the traffic they deserve. My ctr shows no signs of letting up. Life will be good (a year from now)!

Thankfully ctr is stable - I'm sure that smart pricing likes stability. I'm just surprised that it's SOOOO stable. I'd have expected it to wobble a little - not stay at exactly x.1%!

Yes, there have been some changes as a result of my changes, and a promtion in the serps so I am surprised there's no change all said and done.

not scary at all, my ctr average is consistent day to day to half a point, even though some channels are in high double digits while others are below 1% or get no clicks at all. It all averages out.
