"...Your account has been disabled for invalid clicks."

At least that's the line that ran through my head when I saw today's email. Reading this board has definitely not been good for my mental health! :-)

I had a slight chill when I got that email too.

The less communication from them the better.

Hehe, I could feel the ripple of spine-tingling shivers running through the Adsense community from here. ;)

Either I didn't get it or my spam filter gobbled it up.

Here's a little fun reading on a related topic of paranoia [people.csail.mit.edu].

Lol, when I saw the e-mail in my inbox I don't even think it could be a 'we've disabled your account' e-mail.

Anyway, I don't think the newsletter was very helpful. Most of the information in it like the announcement of Onsite Advertiser Sign-up and Referrals is already weeks old.

yeah, the reading of the first few lines were worrying, goes to show how much trust you all have (including myself) in google and their ability to ban one by mistake!
Google Team, choose the subject of your emails more carefully, Newsletter or Update would have been more appropriate than your 'Note' and thanks for reading this forum.

LMAO

I thought I was the only one. When I saw the subject line, I went and logged into my account before I even read it.

To be honest, my first thought was that it was a personal note asking me to PLEASE stop nagging them.

Dang, i forgot to check my google adsense registered email account for a long time. Should have setup a forwarding to my main email account.

But anyway, this board lets me know that my account is not banned.

Been busy moving to my new home all day but settled down tonight. First checked Google then came here. Boy I am sooooo glad I did not check my mail first! :)

Seems like this email has gone out to a select few as I have not received one!

I think I must have received a different email to others posting here. The note I received made no mention of invalid clicks or any other problem - it was just a benign list of recent changes that we've discussed in this forum. Ie a useful note for non-WW adsense publishers

I'm having the best month AND best day ever, so it gave me a wee bit of a start when I saw it in my mailbox - I'd just put clean underwear on too ;-)

I've been expecting to hear back from Google since sending them an email a couple of days ago informing them of sites that are framing mine and putting their Adlinks across the top of the pages.

With all the fear about getting banned for even talking to Google - for apparently ANY reason - that seems to dominate the psyches in a surprising amount of members here, I too opened that email from Google today with a deep breath only to find it wasn't even a reply to mine, let alone "bad news" ...

This is silly folks. Google makes money - a lot of it - because of publishers - us. While I haven't made Google the ridiculous returns I read about from some who post here (?), I have made them money. Why would Google want to reduce an income stream by banning legit publishers like myself just because they've received an email - that doesn't make sense, does it? No.

As for those that didn't receive it: remember there's an account setting where you can disable periodic emails from Google.

And yes, had it simply been titled "Google AdSense Newsletter" I wouldn't have caught my breath (this too being a slightly best month ever - although that's with the addendum of delivering 50% more clicks than the similarly earning previous best month).

Was a bit disappointed by the mail.
Expected Google to send me a lifetime UPS club membership goldcard!

FYI: I have "In addition, send me periodic newsletters with tips and best practices and occasional surveys to help Google improve AdSense." checked ON and did NOT receive any correspondance from G today.

Can someone post the text here? (or stickmail it to me)

I was the first one to report this and someone locked my topic, take a look [webmasterworld.com...]

PS: I guess, someone did indeed report it 20 minutes earlier than me.

This is the bit I liked ...

Over the past few months, AdSense has gone through quite a few changes – some big, some small, all designed to improve the programme for our publishers.

Am I missing something?

LOL. It didn't even occur to me that the purpose of the email might be misconstrued - the title seemed so benign. I guess Adsense Support thought it was benign as well, but that probably won't stop those law suits rolling in for induced heart attacks...

lol! I'm sorry to hear our email caused so much anxiety!

Hopefully many of you found the information useful, at least. ;)

I'm beginning to think Adsense doesn't love me anymore.

I didn't get this email, and I'm still waiting for a response from support to an email I sent Nov 21.

Oh well.
