"You also agree not to display any other text-based or content-targeted advertisement(s) on the same Web page in connection with which an Ad Unit or any Ad is displayed."
Just checking, but does this mean I cannot use this:

or ads that are targeted to the content on the page...
Most, if not all ads are targeted to the content of the page aren't they, Jenstar? >;->
I think it would be less ambiguous of Google AdSense to write something like "dynamically content-targeted"
After all, I hand-pick individual books from Amazon to match the content of my articles. I'm absolutely positive this does not go against the TOS.

No, not at all. Only in rare cases is that true.

Agreed, but my gut tells me we'd still have just as many questions about this anyway. ;)

They aren't concerned about any affiliate links. But they don't want you displaying AdSonar or any of the other contextual ad networks.
What it really should say is "You agree not to display ads from any AdSense competitor" ;)
I realize that and the affiliate marketing networks are AdSense competitors.
Google obviously doesn't think so. That's what counts.
In the eyes of the AdSense team, they do not view affiliate links as competing with AdSense, which is what europeforvisitors was pointing out. If they considered traditional affiliate links as competing with AdSense, there would be plenty of publishers dropping pages or dropping out entirely.
AdSense considers "dynamically generated ads targeted to the content" as competitors - which is what AdSense itself does. They don't seem to care (at this time) about traditional banner ad networks, unless you happen to be running one that also displays AdSense and end up double-serving.
Back on topic to the original thread and what zulufox was asking about, you can sell text links to widgets on your page, as long as you don't display them in a way that would make it appear similar to AdSense. If a person takes a first glance and would assume they are AdSense, you would need to change the look a bit.
Others have gotten emails from AdSense about running similarly looking ads, while others seem to be getting away with it. It might come down to if someone reports a site, or if it gets a hand edit by AdSense for any reason.
