How do I find out the advertisers' URL without clicking an ad? Sorry to ask such a newbie question, but I don't know how to frame it, for a search, and I can't remember the answer I read ages ago.

You can just hover over it with your mouse and look at the bottom of your browser.

Or use the AdSense preview tool.

Thank you. I see why I didn't figure this out before. It doesn't work in FireFox, or at least my version of same. Where is the Adsense preview tool?

Do a Google search on "Adsense preview tool" and click on the first entry!

and read the documentation. It may not work with Firefox. Or it might. I can't remember. It doesn't work on my home Mac, which is still running OS 9.

Mouse-over doesn't seem to work on Firefox or Mac. If you're a Mac user, the Adsense preview tool doesn't work either.

If I want to know the URL, I either use the skyscraper (which displays URL anyway) or control click on the ad, copy link location and paste onto a sticky.

BTW, if anyone knows an easier way to do this on a Mac, please tell :)
