One of my sites which is still immature so it doesen't get too much traffic but is still not a bad earner. I usually get 0 to 10 clicks every day. My traffic usually between 400 to 900 PV's a day. My clicks are usually between .27 to 1.97 per. Ok so a few days ago I noticed that I had 215 PV, 0 clicks, $0.00 earnings... but heres the kicker my eCPM was at $0.02. My only guess was that G was running CPM ads on my site for the modest sum of 2 cents per 1000 impressions....

Am I right? If so, isn't AS supposed to run CPM ads ONLY when it is the better paying choice?

It may have been a handful of impressions of a CPM campaign at $2 per thousand impressions.

Is so then that's just plain wrong. I can earn between 4-10$ in a day with clicks. And I rarely even get 1000 imps in a day so it makes no sense to me whatsoever to ever run CMP ads on this particular site. I don't have the time to spend trying to filter CPM advertsers... See I belong to the philosophy that making new sites/adding content is better in the long run. My sites are optimized enough when I first build them and I usually leave them alone and move on.

On some of my other sites with high traffic and low CTR, I don't mind CPM ads at all... but we publishers have to have a switch to turn off CPM ads if we choose.

I completely agree! However, I have my doubts as to whether Google really gives a hoot about what the publishers want.

A switch for Each site, not just account.

A switch for each page or each channel would be best.

you said you usually get between 0 and whatever clicks... what if you got 0 clicks and Google only showed CPM ads for a few pageviews...maybe the eCPM was higher for those few pageviews (maybe even $5 or $10) and then averaged lower when you count all the other pages that got no clicks.

How do you block CPM ads? When i right click on the link, it wont show the advertisers url.
