In the past month or so i implemented adsense into my widget site which for the past 5 months held the #1 spot in yahoo for my #1 keyword. In google i ranked about 5th. Since the adsense implementation I fell down to the #6 spot in yahoo which is quite a terrible leap.

I imagine its probably just odd timing but wanted to throw a feeler to see if its happened to anyone else or something similiar.

I don't know if it's a coincidence, I used to be no 1 for my main keyword in yahoo but as soon as I put adsense on my index page my whole site has gone from the search. Maybe just a coincidence, there could be some other reason for it.

I did use the 4 text adlinks right under my main header very early up the page html so im wondering if it messed the flow of my page and now yahoo thinks my content is inferior?

I also used the text boxes on my right sidebar. If i keep dropping in listing rank i will have to weigh what pays more, dropping the adsense on the homepage or the revenue of adsense.

why not remove the ads and see what happens - otherwise you are simply guessing

if you read yahoo forum on WW you will see lot of threads about yahoo updaing their index this week.
so it may be a temporary index while they move their data.

I did a site redesign recently and noticed traffic from Yahoo increasing right after that. Perhaps I accomplished the opposite--made it more Yahoo-friendly.

WE have a sizable site with thousands of pages.

In July we added Adsense.

July was the highest traffic.

Since July the traffic declined. We already started to think that Yahoo punished us because of Adsense.

We are not sure, but wno knows?
