Hi,
I just downloaded one of the top 10 most popular downloads with more than 300000 downloads from cnet alone and very good reviews (it's freeware). It turns out the banner blocker feature completely disables AdSense but chitica slips through with only the image replaced.
The software has a lot of features and it might be wise if Absence implements a work around of some sort such as turning the ads into actual text.

These things exist but it's just a cost of doing business. If Chitika takes off then it'll be targeted by ad blockers as well.

Hi jomaxx,

This particular banner blocker only blocks image formats that are from outside domains. I believe that is why chitica gets through. AdSense seems to be an image format and if it was text base it would probably get through.

The software also blocks the icons on the left of the threads in WW which makes me wonder why they are from a different domain.
