I am new to adsense, but this doesn't makes since at all. How can the CPM be $0.00? I have page impressions and I also have clicks. But if the CPM if at $0.00 then no matter how many impressions and clicks I have, I will still make no money. Right?

Can someone explain this to me?

Thanks.

Hi mister,
If you have earned $0.10 for >10001 impressions your eCPM would round down to $0.00
May be that's the case.

My earnings for yesterday was $0.10. Today, even though i have impressions and clicks, it is at $0.00.

eCPM = Earningsx1000/Page impressions

eCPM = 0.10x1000/10001

eCPM = 0.0099990000999900009999000099990001

eCPM < $0.01

Shown as:

$0.00

That doesn't make since because then the more page impressions you have the less you would make.

If eCPM = Earningsx1000/Page impressions then for exampe:

.10*1000/50 = 2.00

.10*1000/5000 = 0.02

Effective CPM - Cost per 1000 impressions. From a publisher's perspective, CPM is a useful way to compare revenue across different channels and advertising programs. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands. For example, if a publisher earned $180 from 45,000 impressions, the CPM would equal $180/45, or $4.00.

One correction: eCPM does not round down it just rounds to the closest penny so your impressions must be 20001 or up.

The clicks may have been filtered out as being invalid clicks. # of clicks will still show, but there will be no earnings.

Hi Jenstar,
As I understand it (not being an expert what so ever), eCPM is a factor of earnings an page impressions and not clicks.
Please correct me If I am wrong.
My interest in this is because my earnings are comparable to that of Mister's. I am hypnotizing his site caters to webmasters which generally avoid all AdSense ads and that AdSense earnings are being overcome by banner blindness. In other words the sky might finally be really falling.:)
I was aiming at getting in the order of 10000 uniques per day to be able to rely on PPC but it seems that even that won't do.

eCPM gives an idea of how well a page or site does overall. Some ads pay per click, while others pay per impression.
