Is anyone else experiencing poor targeting today. I'm seeing horse racing ads on a "home products" page.

I think so, something is going on. May be, because of the new changes in Adsense that Jenstar was talking about.

I also see the ads load very slowly.

Here's how I see it.
Since yesterday morning the targeting has been very hit and miss.

The Preview Tool is not working properly. It will not show the ads that I can see running on the page.

That's really annoying as I'm being flooded with MFA & MFY sites. I've blocked dozens in the last 3 days.

What's going on? I hardly had any up until last week.

Is the system suddenly being inundated with these garbage sites?

Please AS - you must be able to automatically sort out these sites that have nothing but Overture/Yahoo ads or AdWords links and no content.

I said it yesterday but it bears repeating. This garbage is going to pull down the whole system.

If you're seeing ads that are not displayed by the Preview Tool, it's my understanding that these ads have been targeted to show on your site specifically.

In my short AS experience, these things go in cycles. One of my sites was bombarded with targeted ads a few weeks ago, some more relevant than others. I filtered some but let some of them run. They went away and I haven't had any lately...

Unfortunately things like this always seem to happen from late Friday through Sunday, when there is no AS support around to help.

yes--off subject ads showing

A home construction site of mine was showing Katrina relief ads so I removed all references that might relate to storm strength and so on, now
is displaying Anti-spyware ads for the first time ever!

Targeting on my site is just fine, so I guess this isn't system-wide.

Yup I'm also seeing a sudden flurry of totally off target ads - receptionist and resume ads on a music production site?! Never seen them before!

I did start testing section targeting yesterday, which appeared to fix my Free Spammy Stuff ad problem, replacing with on topic ads site wide.... but this morning everything has been turned on its head!

I do see quite a few on target ads through my pages, but many, including all the overview pages, front page etc are WAY off.

Fingers crossed its a momentary glitch.
