Rotating AS ads

This is OK, I assume?

In an effort to find out if a low CTR on one of my sites is due to the fact that the ads were "blended", I've now changed the color of the ads, and in addtion, for each of my two ad placements, I have two ads, one blue and one purple, that I programmatically show at random.

I assume it is OK to have two ad code blocks for the same placement and constantly rotate through them all day. The ad code blocks are exactly the same except for the border color. Both ad code blocks were created with the adsense creation page (no code modification is happening).

I've learned now to be so nervous of innovating with AS placements. Is what I'm doing OK?

When you're laying out your ads, you can select up to four color palettes by holding down the Control key. That's the easiest way to rotate your colors.

Wow. That's too cool. It says that right there on the adsense page creation page, doesn't it? I just didn't notice it before. Thanks!

You could try having one blended ad and one with a border with separate chanels and rotate them. The built-in color rotation doesn't let you put the colors in separate chanels, unfortuneately...
