Can I add an additional border to the ads?

Doing some positioning tests with empty divs with border, I saw a nice effect of a thicker ads border in my final testing before uploading my website, they were borders of the same color of the google border with zero padding.
Does anyone think this could be not be ok for google?

should be fine aslong as it doesnt make unneeded attention towards the ads. if its part of your layout, i dont see why not

Yes, it is part of the layout to have thick 2 pixel border in the boxes on my site.
But now it looks like the ad also have a thick border which is not what it is, it just look so due my additional box.
Actually, without that extra 1px border, they didn't look as part of the decoration.
