Hello everyone

I need some sincere advices from the members of this fourms.

I am a publisher and using adsense for the last couple of months. My one and only source of traffic is adwords. The results of the adwords are good.

But I need some other resources, which can give me good, targeted and free of cost traffic.

I will welcome any methods, sources which can give me ways to improve the adsense earning.

Thanks in advance.

Links from sites that cover the same subject as yours, or related subjects. They take time to accumulate, but each link adds a drip, and taken together they make up a flood. Good incoming links will also get you ranking better in the search engines.

I have never paid for traffic. My site is ten years old and gets good "natural" traffic because it has content, and people know it.

Work to build content, and links, and over the long term you will do well.

In order to make good money with a program like AdSense, you don't just need need traffic, you need "good traffic".

You can get good traffic from other websites that cover similar or complementary topics to yours. If the content matter is similar at the site that links to you, then the user is more likely to click on a contextually relevant ad on your site. If you try to only get traffic, and you aren't concerned with quality, then your CTR will likely drop and so will EPC.

So you will need to build quality links. Try the Link Development Discussion at [webmasterworld.com...]

try submitting your site to dmoz.org
if you get your site listed in the appropriate category your google page rank will increase dramatically.

I just wanted to confirm this. I have a young site which is 3-5 months old.

I did not have a pagrank. And when i got listed in dmoz (in an apprpriate directory), some of my pages have pageranks 4. This happened just 2-4 days after dmoz listing... :)

I can confirm this. I have a site that was started 2 months ago on a fresh domain. Got one article listed in DMOZ some 3 weeks ago (actually watched the dmoz editor come look at it in "real time" while I was examining the logs), and jumped up from PR0 to PR5 in Jagger. I guess it's not just because of the DMOZ link though... :)

I know public PR isn't worth the bandwith it takes to fetch it from google but it's certainly encouraging.

So submit to DMOZ if your site isn't spammy. You'll appreciate both the direct, quality traffic and all the links you get.

and expect to wait a looong time, from what I have been reading.

I submitted a new site on the 6th this month and it is still not listed.....know it is too soon but the last site I made in 2002 was indexed in under 2 weeks....I guess it depends on the cat you submit to and the editor, if one is available at that time.

Okay, here goes.

On site help for popularity:

#1. At the top. Bookmark this site¦Make it your homepage

#2. somewhere on page, Link to us url to a page telling them how and what to place on their site, banner or text choice.

#3. Tell a friend form for them to use.

I use most of these plus all the free listings you can ferret out. :)

I still have to put link to us info on my newest site but will get to that as soon as I dream up a good banner for it.

Good luck,

I have the same as you Anne, Add your link page, Make you homepage and a suggest us to friends etc.

My site has been online since Feb 05 and I haven't seen much traffic, and thus not even broke past $50 for adsense yet. I have 600ish one-way links and 2 adsense blocks on site, nothing nada, zilch. I truly believe certain types on the web are pulling my chain about easy adsense riches. links etc.

Maybe they do the rounds on forums too?

They need a good kicking, that's for sure.
