AdSense not showing for www.example.com

But it shows for example.com

I have just put AdSense on my site. Relevant ads are showing whenever I visit my site using example.com (without www). The ads are highly targeted to the content on my site, so the bot must have read the pages okay.

However, whenever I visit my site using www.example.com (with www) my AdSense ads are not showing. All I get are public service announcements.

I thought example.com and www.example.com were one in the same, but apparently googlebot doesn't think so.

Perhaps I need to make a change in my nameserver info. I'll investigate and get back to you.

Anyone else seen this?

Don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it's nothing, just give google some time to let the adbot visit. If you still see no ads tommorow, then you might have a problem.

Try www.example.com/?visitmegooglebot - it should immediately cause a bot visit.

Is that some top secret bot pager? Sounds cool :)

You should try www.example.com/?makemetop

Okay, I tried www.example.com/?visitmegooglebot

It really does work. All my AdSense ads are showing perfectly. My traffic is way up too! Great EPC. This is too easy. I never knew there were secret URLs. How could I have been so obtuse.

But, we have to keep this quiet. If everyone discovers web marketing is so easy we'll all be out of business.

Okay, I'm off to free-easy-money-with-no-work.no-urls-per-tos.

Um... we're kidding here, right?

Surely, www.domainname.com/?typeanythinghere works equally well, right? All you're doing is forcing googlebot to visit what it thinks is a new url...
