Alternatives to Google Adwords

Hello everybody,

I was wondering what everybody thought were some good alternative ppc's to adsense. I've heard of overture, kanoodle, findwhat. Which of these are the best for making $ promoting a site that links directly to the ad?

I've been using Google for a while now and it's hard to get a high ranking with out spending top dollar. Anyone want to give me some insight into this area? It would be greatly appreciated. ;)

Does anybody know of good programs that show the top searches on the engines?

Overture is definitley the "other" PPC and many people spend more on Overture than they do on Adwords. You might also look into places where you can place ads in your industry rather than depending on PPC services which tend to be quite erratic in cost.

Yes that is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the advice on overture. I will begin using them as well as gaining more industry contacts. Which of the ppc's has given you the best ROI?

May I suggest 7Search, LookSmart, and SearchFeed. All of which provide good ROI and may have lower bids. Actually 7Search may have very high bid amounts, but their ROI is good mainly because they will refund money related to click fraud back to the advertisers.

I got the same return of money from FindWhat after complaining of fraud. Too bad the money quicky disappeared again - more fraud.

I've experimented with several. Only two to recommend - Adwords and Overture.
