Just noticed that Kanoodle are using Google for their backfill, anyone know if their site gets much use - I would have thought the partners accounted for most of their traffic?

:) too early in the morning for that, Brett! I noticed while searching my kw terms in Kanoodle that for a few of them that have sub-listings in Google they are picking up both listings which gives us double exposure. Nice!

Works fine if you are in the top ten results. Seems that was all they were using when I tried Kanoodle. After that you just get some more Kanoodloids, whatever those are.

Slowly, slowly goggle is taking market share. With MSN and AOL in a head to head competition I wouldn't be surprised if one of them dumped inktomi this year for google.

littleman, those would be tough deals to land. But you should read the messages that Inktomi is putting on trucks here in Silicon Valley. Maybe I'll post the pictures--they are hilarious. (Hello, Inktomi folk!) :)

I believe it's true that Google is providing Kanoodle with search results, but I'm not sure if it's a test or a done deal.

carlwright, there are plenty of people who want to rule the world--leave it to them. Google just wants to be the best search engine.

minnapple, you'll have to come visit us at the googleplex sometime to see the messages--I just get a kick out of them. My favorite was their Valentine's message. :)

Lets see some pictures! :) Now if only Kanoodle would put Google results before the paid results. ;)

AOL would benefit much more than MSN from using Google results. They don't have the LookSmart database appearing at the top of all the search listings. Pure Google or ODP Directory backed by Google would be cool to see at AOL.
