I litterally just completed signing up with Enhance, dropping $50 to start up and within 10 minutes i noticed a flood of traffic, with PHP Live, i was able to see directly where these people were coming from and it seems to me they were popunder windows

Has anyone else seen the same results with this PPC?

be happy it only cost you $50. Why are they still in business.... tons of unhappy customers and they are still going

They're still in business because there are 1,000's of small advertisers hoping to find an inexpensive alternative to Google and Yahoo that works. And they're not out there; but people don't get it and throw their money away.

The fact is that $50 is not a lot of money considering how expensive Google and Overture are, so people will try just about any 2nd/3rd tier CPC program and hope that it works. That's the business model for these companies; hope that enough advertisers will 'try' them even at $50 and they make a lot of money.

Hopefully they will all be sued like FindWhat, but I don't think the legal consequences scare these companies.

Nearly all of the smaller engines and their advertisers are getting killed by click fraud. If 40-60% of the clicks are fraudulent, which they very well may be with some engines, then there's basically no value to advertisers, even if the clicks are cheaper.

There's also a whole lot of sub-syndication and cross-pollination in the smaller search engines' distribution channels, leading to questionable traffic practices like using popunders.

But unlike fraudulent traffic, even poor sources like PU or incentivised traffic can convert, theoretically. If one of the smaller engines can rein in click fraud, they'll take the first step to legitimacy, which should increase conversions significantly. As conversions rise, more trial advertisers will stay and the bids will rise to be commensurate with the conversion environment.

"If one of the smaller engines can rein in click fraud, they'll take the first step to legitimacy."

True, but good luck doing that. How is a smallish company supossed to compete with MSN, Yahoo and Google for good distribution partners? The answer is that they cannot.

>>>If 40-60% of the clicks are fraudulent

I think it much higher, i will say something like 85-95%. If you put $50 and you get zero results it must be closer to 100% and I would not be surprise if that's the case.

I've had mixed results. With one product that I promote, I've had around a 700% ROI. With another I've gotten hundreds of fraudulent clicks that came from abcsearch.com (and I was only advertising on Enhance). I lost money on the latter, but the former still performs very well. I think it's hit or miss. Enhance does have a conversion tracking program. You can't see the results, but they will remove you from evil search engines like abcsearch so that you don't waste all of your money. You need to contact them to set it up.

Are they (Miva), {FindWhat} being sued for something other than the class action lawsuits involving the stock fall?

Part of marketing is dealing with the fraud problems in these companies.
Skilled marketers know how to do this. But then thats why they dont reveal their secrets on forums. Dont worry guys, we will all learn how to market properly eventually.
