I did it! So where's the "Newbies-Guide"?

I just subscribed to AdWords and started my first campaigns. It seems in my niche is only one competitor, and it seems he entered fewer keywords than I did. So I split my campaign into one section with low PPC for the keywords unique to me, and another section with high PPC for the keywords we share.

So far, so good. Any do's and dont's? Any "Newbies Guid to AdWords"? Is campaign-splitting a good idea, or would AdWords take care of it itself by charging lower sums for the non-shared keywords?

What else?

I normally recommend these threads to get people started.

But I was thinking that with the upgrade and the introduction/discovery of dynamic keywords and the spell check match, that we probably need an updated thread about how to run an adwords campaign.

What do you say, Shak? Could you start one for the newbies out there?

You called :)

The thing is newbies never remain newbies for long when they hang out at Webmasterworld, before you know it, in their hands they have the tips and tricks from some of the world's best PPC bid managers.

However shall give it some thought, or failing that a member may like to write it all down as an article :)
