Hi,

Do you guys use the 'Adwords Conversion Tracking' code?

has it improved any of your metrics? (CTR, ROI, CPC..)

any opinion/comments welcome.

Hi,

Definitely helped me get cheaper conversions, maybe x3 on average, as CTR and click-cost are not always a good guide. I also compare this with other traffic sources.

thanks Damon, that is impressive.

so how that happens?

the more you convert > the more discount you get?

or

the more you convert for KW_1 > the more relevant is your ad for KW_1

or?

Talk about the tail wagging the dog....

the more you convert > the more discount you get?
-- Nope

the more you convert for KW_1 > the more relevant is your ad for KW_1
-- Nope

Google does not use the conversion numbers to adjust anything in your other statistics, including ad relevancy.

No. But, the insight it provides allows you to impact the stated metrics in a positive way.

If you already have complete back-end tracking matched to Google's cost/volume/position data per keyword - it's inferior and not at all needed. If you don't, or would like a "second opinion", say, it's worthwhile and nice to have within the interface...
