Ads with leading spaces and trailing

Today I've noticed Adword ads on the Polish version of Google with leading and trailing spaces in the title. Actually I'm not sure they're spaces, but some sort of special character. The title is centered with linked rectangular blocks before and after the title. This happens in IE as well as Firefox.
Anyone else seeing this?

In India, I saw an ad which had a symbol in the form of a triangle (like a play button) in the headline of an ad but when i clicked on that ad, it took me to a regular page. Also wrote to Adwords support but no proper response yet.. anyone seen anything like that?

It could be a character for an alphabet that you don't have installed on your computer. Like when you see foreign sites in the search results and you don't have their alphabet installed, you see symbols that look like dingbats and such.

actually saw another ad for the Polish interface with bold blocks in the ad title.. and google support says 'we don't allow' and that ads sometimes take time to get reviewed. Don't know what Google's upto!

I'll make sure the policy folks are aware of this. Next time you see this, it would be great to send a screen shot to the support team, which will help them to track down the ads in question.

Pretty simple really, resham5. Ads may run for a short time on Google before they are reviewed. Thus, there is the possibility that you'll occasionally see ads that don't meet the Editorial Guidelines - as they have not yet been reviewed. This is done as a courtesy to advertisers, so that their ads may run right away, and is based on trust.

The alternative, of course, is that ads would not allowed to run anywhere at all until they'd been reviewed and approved. I suspect, however, that advertisers would not be best pleased if this change were to be made. ;)

Btw they do allow all caps for a brand name that is all caps. You might notice this if you see a SHOP.COM. They do a clever thing of having the second discription line as SHOP.COM too...so what you see is -

The Headline
The first line
SHOP.COM <secondline>
SHOP.COM <display url>
