Why my clicks skyrocketed?

These are fake numbers but used to describe a scenerio.

I get 100,000 ad impressions a day, normally I get 50 clicks a day.
Yesterday i had only 10,000 impressions, but got 500 clicks. I was maxed out by the time I turned my computer on at 8am.

All these adword clicks went to my site, and from there, I had a record day even though out of those 500 visitors, 10 people clicked an ad.

Any ideas on what would cause such a jump in clicks like that on my adwords ad? Can't be the copy, because today I'm getting nada from adwords and adsense.

there are some reasons even for skyrocketed clicks, and they dont need to be illegal.

first thing to do imho is to check server logs. check ips. remember that you can always write to adwords support if you have any doubts whether clicks are valid or not.
