Adwords Editor Seems Broken.

For 2 days my adwords editor has been telling me that it cannot communicate. Have any other users seen this problem. Or do I have a local problem? Thanks for help.

My "AdWords Editor was able to contact AdWords, but there was a problem with the communication".

Small consolation.

I've never had the editor make it all the way through the download. It's a shame. I'm sure I could put it to good use.

While I didn't do the whole RTF(PDF), it appears that as soon as you launch the editor, it downloads every campaign, sans deleted campaigns if you check the box under "Tools". I'm thinking I might have more success if I could download just the campaign that I plan to work on.

They offered a new version when I launched it today. Perhaps when I'm in a real patient, laid back mood I'll download that and try again.

Adwords administration was down for a significant period on Saturday; maybe they made some changes that broke the editor.

I've been using the editor for a few days now and have had a few times where it wouldn't communicate as well.

When this has happened I just left the application open, gone on to another project for the moment and every once in awhile tried to repost again. After 5-10 minutes, or maybe an hour, I've been able to get it to work.

Well, it's another one of those days in which I get to post only in-between other tasks - and this subject line caught my eye. I've just checked with the appropriate team, and here are a few headlines:

* Server issues have caused "communications problems" for some of AdWords Editor users.

* The issue has been identified - and work is underway to correct the problem in the very near term - if it has not been resolved already.

* Sorry for the problems, and thanks for your patience ;)

BTW, the AdWords Editor team also sent this message:

For those of you that love AdWords Editor, you'll be glad to hear that we're continuing to work on 1) fixing performance issues that some of our larger advertisers have faced and 2) adding new features that we'll be releasing in the coming months.

Yes. I was told by some product managers from Google headquarters on a seminar that there would be a new version of Adwords Editor released in the coming May. I have seen demonstrations of the new version but couldn't be able to get into details of its new features. But I got the impression that we could have almost all the features we could find in the online Adwords account.
