Google becoming too expensive for even the biggest companies?

There is article published (I know due to the TOS I probably cannot say where) that reports that Google Adwords prices have risen so sharply that even companies like Amazon.com have started to reduce their spending on Google.

This is encouraging news - when multi-million dollars companies take action...it will help us.

Yeah, looks like they are all rallying now. However, I wonder what kind of time frame we're really talking about (before something good comes out of it)..1,5,10 years? Almost generally the same crap that MS had/has to go through, with the daily lawsuits.
