Ok, so I sorta accidently/experimentaly racked up a $2200 Adwords Bill..eeekk.. I can't pay that! Google has already tried to charge my CC but failed because the amount was too high.. What will happen if i just never pay this? Will it go to collections and end up on my credit report? I don't see any info on the adwords site on how google handles non-payments.. anyone w/ experiance out there?

Thanks!

First of all, your AdWords campaign(s) will be suspended until the bill is paid.

Second, Google will continue to try to charge your credit card.

As in other businesses, if the bill is not paid by credit card, other means will be found to get you to pay, which may include selling the bill to a collection agency.

I suggest you contact Google ASAP to try to work this out. If you give them a good reason why the billw as racked up so high, they may be willing to work with you on the issue. However, since you received the reward (increased traffic to your site), unless the mistake was on Google's side, I doubt they will forgive much of the bill.

Google has several functions in place to prevent people from accidentally blowing their budget (daily caps, etc.). So failing to use them properly isn't going to be much of an excuse.

If you don't pay what you owe them, who do you think is going to pay your bill? We do! Advertisers like us have to pay your bill!

Sergey sends over an old buddy from the Russian mafia to your house, he cuts off your mouse finger so you can't do it again.
